The long-awaited documentary about Led Zeppelin, announced in 2019, might soon hit theaters. Although the film was completed in 2021, it has barely been seen by anyone!
A documentary about one of the most famous rock bands in music history, Led Zeppelin, has existed for several years. Yet, hardly any fans have had the chance to see the film. "Becoming Led Zeppelin" was announced in 2019 and completed in 2021, but thereafter it was only shown at the Venice Film Festival. The documentary premiered there, but that was it. Now, Sony Classics has announced that they plan to bring the film to theaters.

The film covers the early years of Led Zeppelin's band history and their breakthrough with the 1969 album Led Zeppelin II. Apart from the festival-goers of 2021, hardly anyone has seen more of the documentary than the live clip that was released in the official teaser trailer. You can watch the 2021 teaser here:
Is There A Release Date?
Although there has been some news from Sony Classics about the theatrical release, no specific date has been announced yet. However, the documentary has reportedly received a new sound mix and now includes new material from all four band members. It is believed that footage from the 1970 Bath Festival was used for the film. Many more concerts from the band's history will be featured, including the Atlanta Pop Festival and the Texas Pop Festival, as well as numerous interviews.
