Party, Punk & Pits

Early in the evening, it was hard to decide which stage to stand in front of. There was an absolute demolition party, naturally at Electric Callboy on the main stage - no one in the audience could stand still, especially not during songs like “Everytime We Touch” and “Pump It”. Moshpits are a must here! And then there was also the much-anticipated live performance of the new song “RATATATA” together with Babymetal on stage. This certainly set the mood for Babymetal's full show shortly afterward on the Mandora Stage, where the three singers showcased their full talent and dynamic choreographies. However, those who stayed at the main stage had the chance to see Billy Talent perform before the punk rock giants Green Day captivated the masses. It's not every day that you get to experience radio hits like “American Idiot” up close in this country. All fans of the band surely enjoyed the performance thoroughly, as Billie Joe Armstrong and Co. put on a truly energetic show!

Unfortunately, Bad Omens had to cancel their performance at the Ring recently. Their spot was taken by German rapper and pop singer Marsimoto, also known as Marteria. Sure, it’s a completely different direction and perhaps no consolation for some of the loyal Bad Omens fans, but still a big name. For Marsimoto fans, it was definitely a big deal since the musician is on his farewell tour for this project in 2024; it was thus one of the last Marsimoto shows ever! Accordingly, the atmosphere in the audience was nostalgic and emotional - all goodbyes are hard.
