It sounds like a cliche of an American Dream: When Craig Ericson prepared his first release with his label Rise Records in 1999, he had to borrow 400 Dollars from his granddad. More than 15 years later, Rise Records was taken over by BMG for several million dollars. Craig still remains the mastermind at Rise Records, having been around from the start and witnessed how the label evolved from having local bands and nearly going bankrupt, to their turning point in 2006, when Rise Records released "In Vogue" by Drop Dead, Gorgeous, a US post-hardcore band. After that collaborations with bands like The Devil Wears Prada, Breathe Carolina, PVRIS, Sleeping With Sirens, The Acacia Strain and Of Mice & Men followed - bands from Rise Records, that also have a firm place in our online shop!
