Within two years, the five guys from Kraftklub, hailing from an East German province, managed to rise to the top of the German rock/indie bands. With a unique mix of indie and rap, Felix Brummer, Karl Schumann, Till Brummer, Steffen Israel, and Max Marschk have created their own distinct musical style. In 2011, they were still opening for Fettes Brot and the Beatsteaks with their EP Adonis Maximus, but just one year later, their first album MIT K went straight from 0 to 1 on the German album charts.
