Fresh Slipknot music is on the horizon, according to Clown: a new album is in the works, and it has nothing to do with “Look Outside Your Window.” Here are the details!

Shawn “Clown” Crahan recently discussed his New Year’s resolutions for 2025 in an interview with Knotfest - and a new Slipknot album was part of the conversation. As he made clear, this would be a follow-up to The End, So Far. The new music has nothing to do with the long-awaited Look Outside Your Window, which, as Clown firmly states, is not a Slipknot album:

“It was never a Slipknot album. Not while it was happening, not while I've held onto it for ten years, and certainly not fuckin’ when it comes out.”

Clown’s New Year’s Resolution: No Complaining & a New Album

“2025 I'm going to work on ‘No Complaining’,”  the Slipknot co-founder shares in the interview. He seems to be referring, in large part, to his approach to the production process for their albums.

“Just not going to do it anymore. I realized my expectations are never going to be met. So I need to give myself a break. It's probably the last part of ego I need to work on. That way I can just float. Nothing will bother me. I can just work on positive potential. We got a new album. We're gonna start at some point. I just want to roll into that with an energy like it's all starting again. That's how I want to approach it.”

A new album is clearly in sight, and Clown already knows the best way for Slipknot to create new songs:

“If we got our room and our shit’s going, someone's gonna pop, everybody's gonna join in. And if we go, ‘Oh, that's good,’ that fucker will be done by the end of the night and then massaged over a month. And that's the best way to write fucking Slipknot music.”

While the release timeline remains uncertain, we can at least be confident that Slipknot’s creative minds are already hard at work on new material.
