Great bands and popular songs are known to be perfect to be covered. Be it on music shows on TV, by tribute bands that even go on tour themselves or by musicians on YouTube channels. Today we'll give you some tips for good cover bands and cool cover songs that can end up in your playlist right away!

If you're passionate about music yourself, then you know just how much fun it is to sing along loudly to your personal favorite songs, dance and best of all, swing your air guitar. If you play an instrument or sing, then you've probably already played or covered some of your favorite bands' songs yourself. All the more understandable that many musicians get together to form a cover band. Often they dedicate themselves to a very specific band, while others move across the metal universe and cover different bands. And even at talent shows, rock and metal songs are more popular than you might have thought. We'll show you a few of the coolest performances here!

Children As Rockstars On Stage

Who can surprise and blow away an audience better than kids? The young generation is busy covering classics from hard rock and metal. Sometimes you can't believe how much talent is presented on stage. Be sure to check out the following performances!

1. Tool - 46 And 2

Progressive metal at its best comes not only from established rockers, but also from the youngest among the fans. With this cover of the Tool song "46 And 2" the kids can convince everyone. Whether it's guitar, bass or vocals, you can tell all the kids are passionate about what they do!

2. Spiritbox Cover At America's Got Talent

The audience was shocked! While Heidi Klum seems to be thrilled beyond all measure, all other viewers must first realize what just happened. 10-year-old Harper performed the song "Holy Roller" by Spiritbox on the talent show America's Got Talent. When she starts screaming and shouting in the name of the Canadian metal band, there are a few confused looks in the audience at first, but in the end no one is sitting in their seats anymore and there is thunderous applause. A performance you should definitely not miss.

3. The Voice Kids - Rock ‘n’ Roll Classics

On The Voice Kids some young contestants also chose popular rock songs and brought them on stage with a good portion of energy! From Nirvana to Queen, there are real gems among them. And the kids convince the jury again and again, so that the seats turn one after the other to the front! The strongest performances by far can be seen in the following video:

Tribute Bands - From Metallica To AC/DC

Now it's all about passionate cover bands dedicated to their absolute favorite bands. They perform the old classics of rock legends over and over again, revive our favorites and celebrate them together with the audience. A few tips for cover bands can be found here.

1. The Nightrain (Guns N' Roses Tribute)

The outfit matches, the music even more. That is is real competition for Axl Rose right there! The Guns N' Roses Tribute Band delivers one authentic show after the other. Songs like "Welcome To The Jungle", "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "November Rain" simply can't be missing. Just convince yourself!

2. Barock (AC/DC Tribute)

Even further in the direction of Hard Rock we move with the AC/DC Tribute Band "Barock". As you can see below, the group from Germany spares no effort when it comes to their set. The stage was, of course, equipped with a huge bell for "Hells Bells", which is super impressive in the light of the club. The band is really serious about their covers, because not only do they authentically recreate the songs of the Australian rock legends, but they even have songs in their repertoire that were written before the band AC/DC was formed!

3. MY'TALLICA (Metallica Tribute)

Everybody who loves and lives Metal has ever dreamed of being on stage like James Hetfield and Co., right? It's not without reason that most music stores have long since asked that songs like "Nothing Else Matters" not be played on guitar when the instruments are tried out. They just can't listen to it anymore. But we can and you probably can too - that's why we introduce you to MY'TALLICA, a Metallica tribute band. They are known for their passionate stage presence. Capturing the atmosphere of the original band is of course a huge challenge for all cover artists, but the group delivers a strong result!

4. Geneses (Genesis Tribute)
