After months of rumors about a Linkin Park reunion, Mike Shinoda has made an interesting statement on his website. He posted new artwork called "Seer," which fans were able to purchase - although it has already sold out. Along with it, Shinoda wrote a brief message:
“Hey everyone! I've been locked away in the lab for a while, in between a couple summer trips. So many exciting things planned for you.”
A hint at future band plans? Unfortunately, Shinoda doesn’t offer any more clues, but after Billboard fueled rumors of a comeback with a female singer in spring, we’re grateful for any hints. Here’s a little throwback to the news from Billboard at the time:
"Booking agency WME is taking offers for a potential Linkin Park tour along with headlining festival dates featuring Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell, the sources say."
Of course, there are big shoes to fill here, as Chester Bennington will forever remain in the hearts of fans and his bandmates. A new lead vocalist has not yet been officially confirmed by Linkin Park. We have no choice but to keep waiting.
