Metallica just dropped a brand-new music video for "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth"! The video is a heartfelt tribute to their bassist Cliff Burton, who passed away in 1986. It features previously unseen photos of Cliff, taken in Detroit and Chicago in 1985 and 1986. Photographer Russ Marino shot a few of these pictures for magazines back in the day, but most of them have never been released—until now!
The video also reminds us just how insanely good Cliff Burton’s bass solo in "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth" is. Anyone who’s heard it knows that Cliff’s playing completely shook up the metal world. The video was edited by Clark Eddy, who’s worked on many Metallica projects, and it captures some of the most epic moments and portraits of Cliff.
