The story behind the founding of Megadeth sounds like a legend: When Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica in 1983 and replaced by Kirk Hammet, on his way home he came across a leaflet about the dangers of nuclear weapons with the words "Megadeath". He cut out the "a" and founded Megadeth. A band that later went on to become one of Thrash Metal’s Big Four. 1988 saw Megadeth begin their first world tour as the opening act for Dio and later sharing stages with the likes of Iron Maiden, Kiss and Guns N 'Roses.
