If you've been holding off on buying tickets until you see your favorite acts in the lineup, now's the time to take a closer look at the first wave of bands! A total of 20 bands have been announced, whetting appetites for the 2024 festival season.
From August 16-18, the Highfield Festival 2024 will once again take place by the Störmthaler See near Leipzig, setting the scene for an outdoor party mood. The organizers have already given us a first taste of the lineup! The first 20 bands are confirmed, and there are some real heavy hitters among them. The festival team is already in high spirits, as they write in their Instagram post:
"Anticipation is an understatement, hyped doesn't even come close to excited—we are ultra-hyped up to the roof of the stage."
So let's not hold back any longer and get started on the amazing program!
Which bands are playing at Highfield 2024?
One of the headliners of the festival (Friday) is none other than Peter Fox! The German reggae and hip-hop artist is well-known from the radio and many party playlists. His 2008 album Stadtaffe was a huge success, and songs like "Alles Neu" and "Haus am See" are guaranteed to have the whole crowd singing along. Fun is guaranteed! By the way, Peter Fox released a new album in 2023 called Love Songs, which you can check out beforehand.
Also performing as a headliner on Friday is Provinz. This indie-pop band from Upper Swabia has been active since 2012 and has delighted listeners with albums like Wir bauten uns Amerika and Zorn und Liebe. Catchy melodies, melancholic lyrics, just perfect for the festival vibe.
One of the top acts for Saturday is Cro. Known for years as a German rapper and producer, he has consistently celebrated successes with songs and albums. Songs like "Easy" helped him break through. With his iconic panda mask in tow, he will be hitting Highfield next year!
And last but not least, the punk band Rise Against was announced as the second headliner for Saturday. There will be plenty of energy on stage with hits like "Saviour" and "Prayer of the Refugee." Their lyrics are often politically charged, making their music even more emotional.
Besides all the headliners, of course, more bands were announced, including Donots from Germany with even more punk rock. They've been rocking stages for over 25 years and will continue to do so! Flogging Molly from the USA will be joining them. They've already been at various festivals this year and still can't get enough.
And that's still not all, as 16 more acts will appear in the lineup. If that's not a real reason for excitement, I don't know what is. We, for one, are already looking forward to next summer with this lineup!
