Metallica Releases Live Content from Download 2023

On June 8 and 10, 2023, Metallica played two headlining shows at the Download Festival as part of their current "M72 World Tour". Their performances were so loud that they even caused noise complaints from nearby towns. Now, professional video recordings of these shows are available, which we're excited to share with you!

The Download Festival at Donington Park in England is one of the largest metal festivals worldwide and celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. Alongside Metallica, other headliners included Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot.

With Metallica, it has to be loud, after all, you need to really feel it! It's possible to unintentionally experience the concert even 24 kilometers away. The police received several complaints about the noise emanating from the festival. It was even reported in English newspapers. Of course, Metallica wouldn't just have their power cut off. For one night, the residents had to cope with the noise - after all, a festival is a festival!

Two songs were filmed during each of Metallica's performances and are now available for all Metallica fans on YouTube. On June 8, the songs were “Harvester Of Sorrow” and “Leper Messiah”.
