No one saw this coming - Linkin Park have decided to re-release their comeback album From Zero as From Zero A Cappellas. The announcement came with little fanfare. On Instagram, the familiar album cover was shared, now with the addition of "A Cappellas" in the title, along with the release date: tomorrow, January 24th!
It’s clear the band wants to showcase their pride in their new lead vocalist, Emily Armstrong. Mike Shinoda will, of course, feature prominently as well - but how other band members may have contributed remains to be seen. Now, we’re eager to hear what these unexpected Linkin Park tracks have to offer!
Living Things: A Cappellas with Chester Bennington
Linkin Park have already released an a cappella album in the past: Living Things: Acappellas and Instrumentals. This version dropped in 2012, just like the original Living Things album, and highlights just how powerful Chester Bennington's vocals were. Hearing his voice so intimately adds an extra emotional punch. Check out one of the tracks here:
