Here’s What You Need to Know About ESC 2023 This year, the dark rock band Lord Of The Lost from Hamburg won Germany’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Their victory on March 3rd was largely due to the public vote, which, along with the jury votes, accounts for 50% of the total score. With their song “Blood & Glitter,” frontman Chris Harms and his group will represent Germany on May 13 at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, United Kingdom, at ESC 2023.

The Road to Liverpool
Following their success in the national selection, the band appeared on a talk show on NDR to introduce themselves further. They even shook hands with King Charles III, as shown on their Instagram channels. Lord Of The Lost has since arrived in the UK and are rehearsing vigorously for their big performance next Saturday. This year, there’s a chance for a win from the alternative music scene!
As one of the Big Five countries, Germany, represented by Lord Of The Lost, is directly qualified for the final. Which other countries make it to the final will be determined in the first and second semi-finals.
