It's been quiet around Wednesday Addams, but finally, there's an update on the start of Season 2. We've summarized all the information for you here:
Early in 2023, Netflix announced a second season for their hit show Wednesday, but due to the strike in Hollywood, news about the series surrounding the popular Addams Family character went silent. Now, there are finally some updates.
When Does Season 2 Start?
The "Film & Television Alliance" reported a few days ago that filming is expected to finally start on April 30th. However, unlike the first season, which was filmed in Romania, this season will take place in Ireland. The decision for the new filming location was made because the conditions in Romania were found to be very stressful, and Ireland offers logistical advantages for the actors.
This means, however, that we will likely only enjoy the second season in the spring of 2025.
What About The Plot ?
Those who want to avoid spoilers for Season 2 should skip this paragraph.
The second season at Nevermore Academy promises to be full of action and dark surprises again. Jenna Ortega, who plays the incomparable Wednesday Addams, wants to delve deeper into her role as an anti-heroine, which promises exciting developments. Tyler is also returning and will hopefully bring new monsters that will provide additional suspense. The friendship between Wednesday and Enid will, of course, continue to play an important role. But there's more good news: The Addams Family, including the iconic Morticia and Gomez, will be more involved this time. We can look forward to a season full of charming and frightening moments!
