The Canadian band Sum 41 has surprisingly announced their dissolution after 27 years together, through a statement on their official website and social media platforms. The band wishes to properly bid farewell to their fans and commemorate their time together.
According to their statement from May 8, 2023, all scheduled performances will proceed as planned. Fans can also look forward to the new and final album titled "Heaven :x: Hell." To celebrate the release and their farewell, Sum 41 will embark on a global headliner tour.
Reflecting on their journey since their formation in 1996, Sum 41 expressed gratitude and affection for their fans and their long-standing support.

A Look Back at Sum 41
The band was founded by singer Deryck Whibley and drummer Steve Jocz during their high school years. They achieved their first major breakthrough in 2001 with their second album "All Killer No Filler." Over the years, Sum 41 is remembered not only for their extensive world tours but also for their political activism, including their involvement in the 2004 "Rock Against Bush" project.
As the band prepares for their final tour, the punk rock community can look forward to a few more months of performances before the group officially disbands.
