You've never seen Die Ärzte like this before - in August, they will be playing live at Tempelhof Airport for three consecutive nights! Dates and information? Find it here!
This summer, Die Ärzte will take over Berlin's Tempelhof Airport for three days to create a lot of noise, but none of it will be from airplanes. And they won't be alone. Each night, different special guest bands will join them. Girlschool and Shirley Holmes will kick off the airport party on the first night, the middle show will be opened by Panteón Rococó and Malts Orchestra, and the grand finale will feature the Donots and Cari Cari. In other words, a packed lineup - no matter which day you’re there to join the fun.
Naturally, the tickets for the first dates sold out immediately, so an additional date had to be added soon after. The three dates for the penultimate weekend of August are listed below - tickets for Sunday are still available on Die Ärzte’s website!
Dates for the Airport Shows
By the way, Die Ärzte are not only providing the music but also prompted a temporary name change for the entire airport. Instead of Tempelhof Airport, it was called “Dämpelhof Airport” for 24 hours last week. Here are the dates for “Tempelhof”:
- August 23, 2024 - Berlin, Tempelhof Airport
- August 24, 2024 - Berlin, Tempelhof Airport
- August 25, 2024 - Berlin, Tempelhof Airport
Sustainable Concerts: Labor Tempelhof
It’s not the first time Die Ärzte have been involved in making concerts more sustainable for the future of our planet. The “Labor Tempelhof” project plays a central role in this, as it helps test sustainability measures for event and tour organizations during large concerts. In 2022, Die Toten Hosen were also involved. Together, the two German Punk representatives attracted over 180,000 spectators with three dates. The concerts in August will therefore be as resource-efficient and climate-friendly as possible, and the results can continue to be used and optimized by the entertainment industry.
