Last weekend was a success wherever one looked. There was a party at Ferropolis for Full Force, as well as in Ysselsteyn at Jera On Air and a fantastic atmosphere at Vainstream Rockfest in Münster. Here we summarize our highlights for you and give you a taste of the festival summer of 2024!
We had an Impericon stand at all three festivals and were thrilled to see so many of you stop by. Thank you for your great mood and the fantastic festival vibe. See if you can spot some of your personal highlights!
Full Force Festival
The weekend on the peninsula initially started with a rainy day that was quite intense. However, all prepared festival-goers pulled out their ponchos, and the weather wasn’t so bad after all, with spirits remaining high! In front of the stage, there was still a party with Electric Callboy. Playing their latest single “Everytime We Touch” live for the first time really got the audience going. By Saturday, bright sunshine prevailed, and the traditional strawberry punch could be fully enjoyed. Cooling off was possible with plenty of beer and also at the beach of the Gremminer See.
It was like being on holiday! On stage, the atmosphere continued to be vibrant. Landmvrks brought in DR€W¥ORK, the singer from Stray From The Path, for a feature on the song “Death.” Papa Roach fans were delighted by an additional feature from Jacoby Shaddix with Skindred! And how did the performance of the current hype band Sleep Token go? The fans came in such large numbers that the Hardwowl Stage temporarily looked like a main stage. With their masked appearance in long robes, they were impressively striking! We will surely welcome the band more often at our favorite festivals in the future.
Already excited for next year? Perfect, because you can now mark the date in your calendar! Full Force will take over Ferropolis from June 21 to 23, 2024, making it “Full Force Island”! We predict: It’s going to be spectacular, especially as Full Force celebrates its 30th anniversary next year!
Jera On Air
Even the Netherlands wasn’t spared from heavy rainfall. On Thursday, the campsite got quite wet. But even at Jera On Air, the weather doesn’t spoil the mood so easily! After all, all stages are housed in tents, so not even the rain can come between the festival and the music. Highlights like The Amity Affliction and Parkway Drive dried the clothes just fine with their pyro-show! In case of doubt: just drop by the Impericon stand and grab a cozy merch hoodie! But by Friday, the sun was already shining again, making the remaining days a perfect summer experience. As a grand finale, on Saturday, there was energetic moshing to Motionless In White and The Ghost Inside.
Anyone needing a break during the strong lineup could meet their favorite bands at the Impericon signing sessions. Among others, Chelsea Grin, Lorna Shore, and Papa Roach were there. Did you manage to get some autographs?
2024 seems to be the year of anniversaries. Jera On Air will also celebrate its 30th birthday next year! The party will take place from June 27 to 29 in Ysselsteyn. Will you be there?

Vainstream Rockfest
Rain here too? No! At Vainstream Rockfest in the middle of Münster, not a single drop fell from the sky all Saturday. Instead, cooling was helped along with water hoses in front of the stage. The sunshine just wouldn’t stop and accompanied the entire festival. But that didn’t keep anyone from dancing and headbanging. Many were already heated up from the Warm-Up Party the previous evening with The Ghost Inside. Even at the day festival’s opener at 10 AM, there was already the first Wall of Death. And this energy continued throughout the day as the area in front of the stage filled up more and more. Shade could be sought in the exhibition hall, where there were plenty of seating areas, food, and especially the Safe Space area. And yet, one was always drawn back to the stage, to the mega shows by Jinjer, Architects, and the headliner Papa Roach. The venue was packed by the end. Clearly, the atmosphere was amazing!
Can you believe that this vibe will last twice as long next year? Vainstream Rockfest welcomes us in 2024 for two days! From June 28 to 29, it will get loud again in Münster. We’re looking forward to it! Are you?
