The Danish metal band Volbeat has just finished their tour across North America. Now, singer Michael Poulsen has already posted an update on social media that tells us all about the band's future plans.
The latest Volbeat studio album, Servant of the Mind, was released in 2021. This year the group has already been touring a lot, playing various festivals in Europe and most recently a series of concerts in the USA and Canada. Now it seems it's time for Volbeat to take some well-deserved time off with their families and leave the tour bus behind for a while. A new album is already planned, though, with recording scheduled to start in 2024. All this is revealed to us in the video message from Michael Poulsen that Volbeat posted a few days ago.
Michael thanks the Volbeat fans for their great support on tour, and on top of that he announces that he will be touring with the band Asinhell in 2024. In this death metal group, whose debut album Impii Hora was just released in 2023, Poulsen is active together with former Morgoth singer Marc Grewe and drummer Morten Toft Hansen.
