Alligatoah is back with a new song, a sensational feature, and much more. The rumors about his new album are swirling. Here’s what’s really happening.
After the release of the new music video for “SO RAUS feat. Fred Durst” on YouTube a few days ago, Alligatoah's fan community has been in turmoil. First, the rapper delivered a highly emotional farewell on stage and on social media - and now he seems to be back, with new projects everywhere you look. Because this one feature, Alligatoah's "Last Will," was just the beginning of something much bigger. As teased at the end of the music video, there’s not just one new track, but a complete album with 12 tracks. And now, rumors about this album are swirling. What do we know so far?
12 Bands, 12 Tracks?
If you follow Alligatoah on Instagram, you've probably noticed a few things in recent days. For example, the few new posts aren't from the rapper himself, but from his good buddy BattleBoi. He continues to write for Alligatoah's fans and keeps them updated. But there’s more to discover, such as the accounts Alligatoah has recently started following. Exactly 11 accounts. To be precise: 11 metal bands. We were teased with an album of 12 tracks, one of which has already been released; the feature with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. So, 11 tracks remain. Are we about to get 10 more metal features, a true heavy crossover album?
Let's see who exactly appears in the follower list. A few scene favorites right at the top: Bring Me The Horizon and Papa Roach! But the list continues impressively. P.O.D., Soulfly, Linkin Park, Static X, Mudvayne, System Of A Down, Slipknot, Korn… If the rumors hold up, this is bound to be fantastic.
Alligatoah at Full Force and Wacken Open Air
This doesn't seem far-fetched if you look a bit further. BattleBoi Basti has kindly already shared Alligatoah's tour dates for 2024. Not only are there four concerts in Germany, but also several festivals. Included are two of Germany's most famous metal festivals: Wacken Open Air and Full Force! It seems the artist is serious about the metal crossover.
