There's no other musician with so many myths about him: Yes, we're talking about Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain. However the hype around the grunge icon really started after he committed suicide in 1994. Kurt actually enjoyed a quite happy childhood - That was until his parents got divorced when he was 8. Having then moved to live with different relatives, it was there where he found his passion for the Beatles. For his 14th birthday present, he had to choose between a guitar or a bike -. Kurt chose the guitar and started the history of Nirvana with that decision. In 1991, he and his band released a record, that until today is said to be one of the best records of all time: NEVERMIND. However with success came the problems, as Kurt Cobain was addicted to heroine. Sadly, on April 5th 1994 he killed himself with a shot gun. Even today rumors suggesting Cobain was murdered are still floating about. Some fans even say, that Cobain's wife Courtney Love planned the murder.
