Biffy Clyro clearly didn't stick to just one genre since their formation in 1995. You're in for a ride on the genre rollercoaster when you listen to the band from Scottland: their music has varied across genres such as Alternative Rock like Green Day, Experimental Rock, Progressive Rock, Math Rock and Post-Hardcore like Bring Me The Horizion over the years. There are also several rumours circulating about the origin of their name - Apparently Biffy Clyro is an acronym for 'Big Imagination For Feeling Young 'Cos Life Yearns Real Optimism' but we'll probably never hear the real truth from the band, instead we'll just keep listening to their latest masterwork Opposites, sounds like a good plan right?
