Sleep Token has built up a huge fan base over the years. It's no wonder that they have also caught the attention of some of the biggest bands in the metal scene! Find out which band members from Slipknot and Linkin Park are fans of Sleep Token here!

Over the past few years, Sleep Token has worked their way out of the "hidden gem" label. Especially with their latest album Take Me Back To Eden in 2023, they have boosted their career and their live shows were also a great success. But it's not just us who have been excitedly reporting on news about the band. The singers of some of the biggest bands in the metal community are also talking about the masked musicians! We introduce you to five of these personalities today.

Corey Taylor

Corey Taylor, frontman of Slipknot, Stone Sour, and his solo project, raved about Sleep Token's genre mix in an interview in May 2023.

"They, to me are one of the few new — I'll call them metal, but there're so many different levels and layers. There's pop elements, there's jazz elements ... I love the fact that nobody really knows who they are."

And not only that, the band even reminds him of the early days of Slipknot. Understandable, since with Sleep Token, just like with Slipknot, the masks are a big part of the show and the identity of the band members. While with Slipknot, the faces and identities behind their masks are now known, with Sleep Token everything except their stage names, Vessel, II, III and IV, remains a well-kept secret.

"There are hints of early, early Slipknot there. At first we were like, 'Nope. You get nothing. This is what you get, you figure it out. We'll let the music speak for ourselves.'"

Mike Shinoda

It seems that Sleep Token's music is also listened to by Linkin Park. Mike Shinoda named several bands he is currently listening to last year. Read for yourself:

“Stuff that I’m listening to right now, I really love Jean Dawson. I love Brakence. Sleep Token, been listening to a lot of them… I think somebody from the UK was like ‘Have you heard this yet?’"

Amy Lee

The singer of Evanescence, Amy Lee, has even more words to say about her love for Sleep Token's music.

“I love Sleep Token. I’m blown away.”

She is excited about the multifaceted songs as well and cites "The Summoning" from their latest album Take Me Back To Eden as an example.
Those who have already heard the song surely also know the change in style at the end.

“I thought they just went a whole new direction and wrote a new part, and then I was like, ‘Wait that’s the same… but not at all.’ [...] I love it. I think as a musician, music like that gets your brain tingling. It’s exciting. It’s like, wow, anything’s possible. It's inspiring. I like them a lot.”

Amy Lee also praises the group for focusing on their music and operating completely anonymously since their beginnings. All in all, she is a huge Sleep Token fan as well!

Will Ramos

Do you know the YouTube channel "The Will Ramos," where the singer of the deathcore band Lorna Shore shares vocal covers and song analyses? Well, on this channel he has already uploaded several Sleep Token videos! In particular, the following title:'

The conversation already starts with his words:

“The best band arguably. According to me.”

This is followed by a detailed and very enthusiastic analysis of the opening track "Chokehold" from Take Me Back To Eden.If you are interested in singing and vocal techniques, as well as the music of Sleep Token in general, then this video is definitely interesting for you!

Brian “Head” Welch

And even the guitarist of the iconic band Korn is among the Sleep Token fans. In an interview in 2022 he mentioned Sleep Token as one of the groups he would recommend to others.

"There's another band called Holding Absence that's pretty cool. Siamese is another one I've checked out. Sleep Token is very trippy - there you have a few for you and your readers to check out."

Well, if those aren't good recommendations. Maybe there's something new for you too!
