The anime highlights of 2023 recently concluded with "Jujutsu Kaisen". Now we have to wait a while until the story continues (unless you read the manga). Therefore, here are some series to help you get through the remaining winter months and start the year off right!
Delicious In Dungeon
We actually start with a series that will be released on Netflix, on January 4th. "Delicious in Dungeon" can be categorized in the genres of fantasy and comedy. As the title suggests, it is about both (interesting?) food and exploring dungeons. The story revolves around a group of adventurers who initially want to slay a dragon. They soon face the question of how they will sustain themselves in the long run. But what can one eat in a dungeon?
Blue Exorcist Season 3
"Blue Exorcist" is back! With the title "Shimane Illuminati Saga," fans of this series and its manga source material will finally be relieved from a long wait. The first season started in 2011, and season 2 followed in 2017. The story of Rin Okumura will finally continue in animated form on January 7th!
Solo Leveling
On the same date, January 7th, another current series will be released as an anime: "Solo Leveling." Perhaps you have already seen some parts of it at your trusted manga store. The action-packed plot takes place in a fantasy world where a lot of monsters need to be defeated by so-called hunters. Sung Jinwoo, the main character, starts as a not very promising hunter and finds himself in a battle on the brink of defeat. But he has received a special ability that makes him stronger!
Given
In addition to several series, there will also be new movies to enjoy. Those who are familiar with the 2019 series or the first "Given" movie and already love the emotional boys-love story, can now look forward to the sequel! It will be released on January 27th.
The Seven Deadly Sins
On January 31st, "The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Night of the Apocalypse" will be released. It is a continuation of "The Seven Deadly Sins," a popular manga and anime series. You can watch the story of the Holy Knights battling against the four Knights of the Apocalypse on Netflix!
Haikyu!!
Haikyu!! will also receive a movie this year, on February 16th! "Gomi Setujou no Kessen" is the first of two film parts and brings an unforgettable volleyball game to the big screen. An experience that no Haikyu!! fan should miss out on.
Watashi No Shiawase Na Kekkon: Watashi No Shiawase Na Katachi
What would this list be without a light novel adaptation? "My Happy Marriage" will receive an OVA episode on March 15th.
