Damiano David, best known as the frontman of the successful Italian band Måneskin, has dropped the latest single from his solo project. Following up on his first single, “Silverlines”, "Born With A Broken Heart" comes with an emotion-filled music video featuring dance and expression. This artistic vision reflects what David shares about the inspiration behind the song.

David wrote “Born With A Broken Heart” at a time when he was, as he describes, “getting out of a very dark place, I was feeling emotionless and I was afraid that I had lost my ability to feel things, either good or bad.”
He further explains:
“This was happening while I was starting the most meaningful relationship of my life, and the fear of not being capable or ready was big. I think the song was a way to make sense of what I was feeling and to look at it from a less scary perspective. Today, I’m happy to say I don’t feel like this anymore, but I believe many people can relate to the feeling of not being good enough.”
As for the music video, he describes it as a “personal fantasy.”
“A world where, no matter what, as soon as you step through the door, everything becomes magical and beautiful. It’s a way of saying that not everything negative will hurt you; sometimes, it will even lead you to the next chapter of your life. We all have the ability to transform negative experiences into something meaningful for us.”
