There is a new teaser from Bad Omens featuring American singer Poppy. Is this just about the tour, a possible collaboration, or maybe even a new album?
For their upcoming Europe tour, Bad Omens have announced singer Poppy as a contrast to their Metalcore sound. The American artist makes Pop and Rock music, with some Metal elements. She is also signed to the same label as Bad Omens, Sumerian Records. Now, Bad Omens have uploaded a new teaser on social media featuring the singer both visually and audibly. What's the deal with that?
Teaser - But for what?
It could simply be teasing the upcoming Concrete Forever Europe Tour, where Poppy will be supporting. However, there are a few details that are sparking speculation in the community. But here's the post for you first:
At the end of the video, three letters are visible: V.A.N. There is no further explanation at this point. However, if you visit the band's official website, you will be greeted with the words
"V.A.N has taken over access of this site."
And that's all you get from the site. As a fan, it's fair to wonder if this is a hint at a new album? It's also possible that the teaser post is a snippet of a future music video featuring Poppy. Anything is possible for now!
After all, frontman Noah Sebastian already mentioned in summer 2023 that the band is not only working on one, but two albums simultaneously. So it's entirely possible that we are being presented with the first fruits of their labor here. The release of their last album The Death of Peace of Mind was almost two years ago now. And the Concrete Forever Europe Tour is getting closer; a joint performance with Poppy would certainly make sense. However, what actually becomes reality remains to be seen. The tour kicks off in Berlin on January 27th, 2024. There, Poppy can also present her new music live, as her current album Zig was released in October 2023.

Well, we didn't have to wait long for this. Bad Omens have dropped a new song and music video featuring Poppy. It's called "V.A.N" and the meaning of these letters is finally clear. As soon as Poppy raises her voice in the song, it's:
"Violence Against Nature"

By the way, Sam Carter from Architects has already expressed his excitement for the new song in the comments on Instagram! It seems almost certain now that we can look forward to a live performance of this song on the upcoming tour in Europe. It starts on Saturday!
