Bad Omens Are In The Studio! Is A New Album Coming Soon?

Bad Omens have been relatively quiet since posting the infamous 'LOADING Screen' on X in July – but now the band has shared a very exciting update: They are back in the studio!

Bad Omens, the metalcore titans from Richmond have shared some intriguing photos from the studio on social media. In the photos, frontman Noah Sebastian can be seen at the microphone while guitarist Joakim 'Jolly' Oskar Karlsson appears to be handling the production. The post is captioned with the words "TO SOUNDLESS DARK I STARE," suggesting that this might be a new song lyric.

Last summer, Bad Omens confirmed that they were working on two albums simultaneously. The first album, CONCRETE JUNGLE [THE OST], was already released in May. So, it is very likely that we will soon hear the official follow-up to The Death Of Peace Of Mind.

In an interview with Kerrang! last November, Noah had this to say about new music:

"I feel like we’re now at a point where I have my own North Star when it comes to creating something – I have this newfound respect for myself.

"I don’t mean that in an egotistical way, but I just want to make music that I don’t hear from other bands. It’s difficult to reinvent the wheel when you’re making a rock album, and The Death Of Peace Of Mind is very versatile, very experimental. If you hear some songs in isolation, you would never guess that we are a rock band, and vice versa. I’m at a cool place right now where I feel like it’s up to me to make new music to raise the bar."

He further explained: "I’m just trying to impress myself. I don’t care about what’s popular – I just enjoy making music that I’m proud of. I’m my own biggest fan. I make [the music] perfect and better than what I’ve done before... I think that’s the secret weapon of Bad Omens. All the other things that happen are a result of that. People can see that it’s authentic, that we’re just trying to have fun and create cool stuff."
