DevilDriver is a modern metal band from the USA that plays a unique mix of Groove, Thrash and Death Metal. DevilDriver was founded in 2002 by vocalist Bradley James "Dez" Farfara. He formed the group with bassist John Miller, guitarist Jeff Kendrick, and drummer John Boecklin under the name Deathride. However, Farfara was bothered by the fact that there were already so many bands with that name. The band then collected almost 200 ideas and suggestions for a new name. Eventually, Farfara found the name DevilDriver in one of his wife's books.
