Yungblud's Rapid Rise
Dominic Richard Harrison made his debut in 2017 at the age of 19 under his stage name Yungblud, with the release of his music video for the single "King Charles," which went viral on YouTube. Later that year, he released two more singles, "I Love You, Will You Marry Me" and "Tin Pan Boy." In January 2018, his debut EP
Yungblud premiered and immediately landed him a spot on K. Flay's tour program.Meanwhile, Yungblud was diligently working on new songs in the studio. His album
21st Century Liability was released in July 2018. Shortly after, he reinterpreted some of the songs for an acoustic EP called
Yungblud (Unplugged). The subsequent tour with Arrested Youth and Charlie Hanson took him through America and Europe from September 2018 to April 2019. In between, he regularly produced new music. One notable release was the single "11 Minutes," which he collaborated on with singer Halsey and
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. He also released a live album titled
Yungblud (Live In Atlanta). During his summer tour in 2019, he performed at many renowned festivals. In October of the same year, he released the EP
The Underrated Youth. And as if that wasn't enough, the musician also released a collaborative single with rapper
Machine Gun Kelly called "I Think I'm Okay," who, like Yungblud, has a fondness for Pop-Punk bands like Sum 41 or Good Charlotte.
The Success Continues
In early 2020 the highly anticipated second album
Weird was released. However, due to the pandemic, the planned tour had to be canceled. Nevertheless, Yungblud didn't let that get him down. He was featured as a guest on
Bring Me The Horizon's single "Obey" and even received praise from the Metal community - quite impressive! In 2022, he released another self-titled studio album:
Yungblud.Despite his young career, Yungblud already enjoys a tremendous standing in the music industry. He has been nominated for several significant music awards and won an NME Award in 2019 for the song "Original Me" in the category of "Best Music Video."
