On August 6th, Slipknot kicked off their anniversary tour celebrating the 25th birthday of their debut album. They were supported by the bands Knocked Loose and Orbit Culture.
The Concert
The concert took place at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana, and the entire evening was a tribute to Slipknot's first, legendary album. The outfits and brand-new masks of the band were on point and perfectly reflected the vibes of the debut album.
The biggest surprise? Slipknot decided to rock only the tracks from their first album. This shortened the set by about 10 to 15 minutes, but honestly, when do you ever get the chance to experience an entire album live?
The highlights of the evening were definitely "No Life" and "Scissors," which they hadn't played since the year 2000—a real treat for the fans! Other rarities in the setlist were "Get This" (played for the first time since 2019), "Me Inside" (for the first time since 2015), and "Only One" (for the first time since 2012).
