The animated series Arcane became a huge hit on the streaming platform Netflix in 2021 and amazed fans worldwide. Since then, a second season of the League Of Legends series has been eagerly awaited. And now there are finally news about the release date!
The second season of the League of Legends adventure was already announced by the developers at the end of 2021. Of course, such a huge production is not done overnight. After all, Season 1 alone took six years to complete! The results of this work can be clearly seen in the finished production: Rarely does a series receive such consistently good reviews and praise. As a result, there has been no fixed release schedule for the second season for a long time. Until now!
While Arcane is based on the League Of Legends (LoL) universe and brings various characters from the franchise to the screen, you don't have to be a LoL expert to love the series. No knowledge of the game is required, as the series tells its own story. The plot can be followed without any problems even by anyone who hasn't set foot in the gaming world before.
When Will Arcane Season 2 Come Out?
At the Video V Vision Conference, more details about the start of season 2 were finally announced. The sequel is scheduled to go online in the fourth quarter of 2024. So fans will have to be patient until the end of next year. However, that will surely be easy to forgive if the long production time means we're once again presented with such a hyped final product as before.
According to Nicolo Laurent (CEO Riot Games), it was impossible to estimate how successful Arcane would be before the release of the first season. Now he says that considering the big success, the production of the second season could have started much earlier. Still, he says, there will be no rushing now, but rather a continued effort to ensure the quality of the series.

On January 5th, we finally got another sneak peek at the sequel of Arcane. A preview of the second season was released on YouTube. However, what we see is anything but a rosy future. In a dark room, a pale man sits, apparently having his blood taken to be transferred to a huge creature hanging in chains from the ceiling, that's making quiet sounds as if it is about to awaken fully.
For League Of Legends fans and attentive viewers of Season 1, some things should already be clear here. The identity of the man is that of an alchemist: Singed. He had a brief appearance in the series already. And even the monster can already be identified. It is Warwick, a monster in the form of a huge wolf that hunts criminals in the underworld Zaun. What this means for our favorite characters remains to be seen…
