This week saw numerous rock and metal releases that we'd like to introduce to you! Here you'll find a complete list of them.
Perhaps you've been eagerly awaiting a few of the albums that have finally been released this week. We hope that our list will inspire you and that you'll listen to some new songs from rock and metal! There's much to discover, from symphonic metal to death metal and hardcore.
Knocked Loose - You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To
Highly anticipated by many fans: the new record from Knocked Loose, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To. The album celebrated its release on May 10 and is now just waiting for you to give it a thorough listen. The ten tracks offer not just a sequence of brutal hardcore numbers but also feature contributions from Poppy and Chris Motionless of Motionless In White, which further enhance the album!
Sebastian Bach - Child Within The Man
Most still know Sebastian Bach from the legendary hard rock band Skid Row, where he was the vocalist from 1988 to 1996. The album Slave To The Grind thrives on his voice, and songs like “Wasted Time” or “In A Darkened Room” would be inconceivable without him. Now, the Canadian musician is going solo and released his fifth studio album Child Within the Man on May 10. Here’s a sample.
Kings Of Leon - Can We Please Have Fun
The rockers Kings of Leon are famous for iconic songs like “Sex on Fire” and continue to actively make new music. On Can We Please Have Fun, twelve new songs are presented, some of which have already provided a first impression as singles: “Nothing To Do,” “Split Screen,” and “Mustang.”
Six Feet Under - Killing For Revenge
There's also no shortage of new death metal this week: On May 10, the new album Killing For Revenge by Six Feet Under was released, marking the fifteenth in their discography! Two singles, “Ascension” and “Know-Nothing Ingrate,” have already been released and give you a taste of the album.
Anette Olzon - Rapture
Anette Olzon also releases another solo album! The Swedish singer is still known to many from her time with Nightwish, where she stepped in as the successor to Tarja Turunen and among other things, recorded the successful album Imaginaerum. Since 2014, however, she has been pursuing a solo career and is also the vocalist for the symphonic metal band The Dark Element. Now you can listen to new music from her again, as Rapture has been available since May 10!
