The title of the debut album bears the same name as the syptoms known as the Sundowning Syndrome. The name is explained by the fact that patients feel restlessness in the early evening hours and become nervous or tense. The album's songs were regularly posted online at two-week intervals at the time of sundowning, prior to its release.
A deluxe version of the album was released in 2020 and includes four additional tracks alongside the original twelve songs. In addition, the original version of Sundowning was also released as an instrumental album in 2022.
