Wacken Open Air 2023 faced some difficulties. The organizers of the festival could not let all the visitors on the site this year due to the persistent rain. Nevertheless, not long after the announcement of the date for Wacken 2024, all tickets for the coming year were already sold out. You can find all the information here!
Despite this year's weather situation, metalheads worldwide are now already looking forward to August next year, when the popular festival can take place on the fields of Wacken again. In the past, tickets were usually sold out within a very short time as well, despite only a fraction of the lineup for the upcoming festival being public at the time! This time it took only four and a half hours, then there were no more tickets to get.
Is There A Refund For Wacken 2023?
In the meantime there was an update on the tickets of those who unfortunately could not experience Wacken 2023. All those affected by the Arrival Stop will be refunded the entire ticket price. Exact info on this has been announced on social media as well as on the festival's official website. Ticket holders will find out more details shortly, if they haven't already.
When Will Wacken Open Air 2024 Take Place?
The next Wacken Open Air will take place from July 31 - August 3, 2024. This means that August will start off with the huge metal gathering. All fingers are crossed for sunshine and significantly less rainfall next summer. Mud baths are part of the program at Wacken, but the campsites are welcome to remain passable anyway!

Which Bands Are Confirmed For 2024?
Over thirty bands are already confirmed for next year, including two headliners!
Among them are acts like the Blues Pills, Primordial and Bury Tomorrow. In addition, there will be medieval vibes with In Extremo and certainly a large crowd in front of the stage when Blind Guardian will play. On top of the list are none other than Scorpions, right next to Amon Amarth!
