Most Streamed Metal Album Of 2023
In 2023, Take Me Back To Eden was the most streamed Metal album on Spotify. This was despite Metallica releasing their new album 72 Seasons that same year. To put it in perspective: Sleep Token reached over 357 million streams with TMBTE, while the Metallica album garnered 227 million streams. Not only that, but four songs from the album simultaneously made it into Spotify's Viral 50 last year! And even as the album turns one year old, the title track is still in the Viral 50 in the USA, ranking at number 49 (as of May 17). Congratulations!
It’s no surprise that the album's popularity was further boosted on TikTok. Songs like "The Summoning," "Chokehold," and "Take Me Back To Eden" were among the most used sounds from the album.
At our Impericon Awards 2023, Sleep Token also received strong rankings from the community, with Take Me Back To Eden being voted Best Album of the Year. Additionally, they placed second for Best Live Band and also second for Band of the Year.
For now, it remains uncertain at what time we can expect new music from Sleep Token. We hope it will be soon!
