Ozzy Osbourne, an absolute legend of the metal world, will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the second time on October 19th – this time as a solo artist! After being honored in 2006 as a member of Black Sabbath, the Prince of Darkness now receives another prestigious accolade. It is a rare honor, granted to only a few artists.

The event promises to be a real highlight! None other than actor and musician Jack Black will host the ceremony. Alongside him, musical icons such as Billy Idol, Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, and country star Jelly Roll will pay tribute to Ozzy. Together with an all-star band consisting of Zakk Wylde, Wolfgang Van Halen, Steve Stevens, and Andrew Watt on guitar, they will perform some of Ozzy's greatest hits. Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith will provide the rhythm, while Adam Wakeman, who has worked with Ozzy and Black Sabbath since 2004, will handle the keyboards.

As mentioned, this will be Ozzy’s second induction into the Rock Hall of Fame – a remarkable recognition of his unparalleled career as both a solo artist and a member of Black Sabbath. "It's crazy that I'm experiencing this a second time! I’m completely overwhelmed and incredibly excited about the ceremony," Ozzy said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

Ozzy expressed his excitement about Jack Black hosting the event: "Jack is a true rock 'n' roller, and I’m thrilled that he’s hosting this special night. Billy Idol and Maynard James Keenan are also true icons and friends – it's just unbelievable that they’re part of this event."

Whether Ozzy himself will perform at the ceremony remains to be seen. Due to his health issues, including Parkinson's disease, he stepped back from touring last year. However, whether or not he takes the stage, this night is bound to be legendary!

You can watch the event live on Disney+, so mark your calendar for October 19th – you won’t want to miss this spectacle!
