Sleep Token are known for keeping their identities unknown. At least, until now. The identity of their bassist III has been publicly revealed against his will. All of his accounts have been deleted. Is this the end of Sleep Token?

Anyone currently trying to visit the Instagram profile or X-profile (formerly Twitter) of bassist III is in for a surprise. All of his accounts have been deleted. However, the official band account and the pages of the other members, II and IV, are still online. So what happened? There are currently rumors circulating on the internet that we want to bring to your attention.

When The Fascination With Bands Goes Too Far

Until now, the identities of all four members of the band Sleep Token have been a well-kept secret. They wear masks at every performance and during every photo or video shoot. In a recent interview with Drumeo, even II's voice was edited so that his identity cannot be recognized through it. Normally, all fans of the group respect the decision for Vessel & Co. to remain anonymous. And even those who do not actively listen to the band respect this aspect.

But now, someone is said to have published personal information about III on the internet. This includes nothing less than his birth certificate. Some people are said to have bought it and then posted it online for everyone to see. Originally, someone found III's Twitch account, which contained his full name, and then continued searching from there. The shared information will not be further spread here.

Since the incident, all of III's accounts are no longer accessible. There has been no statement from the band regarding this matter. Whether all these rumors are true remains to be seen. But we sincerely hope that this is not the end of the band that has become dear to many in the community over the past few years.

We want to emphasize that we do not support this disrespectful behavior towards a band. Private information is just that: private! Fascination with a band or artist does not give anyone the right to seek out and make public such private details.

You can get another overview of the situation in this TikTok video:

Whether III will continue to be part of the band remains to be seen. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that Sleep Token will continue to exist.

Update - 16th January 2024

There is news already: Sleep Token have now also deleted all posts from their official band account. Additionally, the bio now displays a message: Nothing lasts forever. The band had already shared this message in a past interview. When it came to the long-term future of the band, this was always the answer. In light of the current situation, these words carry even more weight.
