Since January 19th, the first four episodes of the new adult series "Hazbin Hotel" by Vivienne Medrano are available on Amazon Prime. For fans, it's a celebration, as they have been waiting for this series since the pilot episode in 2019! But what is the colorful cartoon about and when will the next episodes of season 1 be released? Don't worry, we'll clarify that right away!
A Musical From Hell
Charlie is the princess of hell, as she is the daughter of Lucifer and Lillith. But she's not as evil as that sounds at first. On the contrary: she has a plan to help all the demons in hell. Because at regular intervals, numerous inhabitants of hell are eliminated by angels from heaven so that their numbers do not continue to grow and they do not pose a threat. To protect them, Charlie wants to convert them and teach them how to be good - in her Hazbin Hotel! It's probably needless to say that the first steps in her plan seem to go wrong without exception. No one is interested in her hotel. Who wants to do good in hell anyway?
The comedy-drama is accompanied by plenty of dark humor and song performances by the various characters. While the dialogue drives the plot forward and never lets boredom arise, the songs provide emotional insights into the characters' emotions - and are a lot of fun to listen to. Even if musicals make you skeptical at first, we recommend giving this series a chance!

The Spin-Off Success: Helluva Boss
If you're excited about the series, then we have good news for you. After the pilot episode of "Hazbin Hotel" was extremely successful in 2019, a spin-off series by Vivienne Medrano was launched on YouTube during production of the first season!
"Helluva Boss" also takes place in hell but focuses on different characters and follows its own storyline. In this case, it's about the so-called I.M.P., Immediate Murder Professionals, a company founded by demons. Blitzo (the O is silent) as the boss of the company needs access to the human world to carry out assignments there. For this he needs an important spell grimoire, which is in possession of Stolas, a prince of hell…
