The second studio album by Bad Omens, with ten regular tracks, received a deluxe version with three additional songs in January 2020, including the popular song “Limits.” Even at this point, besides the classic metalcore elements, the first musical developments and genre experiments can be found, such as in the first song, “Kingdom of Cards.” Sometimes the album is softer, then hard again, especially right in the middle with “Dethrone.” Incidentally, the music video for this song was shot in Bad Omens’ own living room.

The song “Mercy” was created at a time when Bad Omens' singer Noah was listening to a lot of Architects, which is why some influences from their music and the themes of their lyrics found their way into the song. When the suggestion came up in 2023 to perform a song live with Sam Carter, the band immediately chose “Mercy.”
