Are you ready to find out which of your favorite songs will be 20 years old in 2024? There are more of your teenage anthems among them than you might think!

The new year is not far away. And 2024 will be exciting, as we can expect some anniversaries. Several big albums will celebrate their 20th birthday and demand to be listened to from start to finish all over again! But can you really believe that so many of the top songs from your playlists are, well, that old? Here are a few classics for you!

Slipknot - Duality

The album Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) is considered one of the best works of the band from Iowa by many fans and critics. "Duality" has definitely stayed in our memories since 2004 and remains the most popular song by Slipknot on Spotify even today! But not only one single from the album was successful. "Before I Forget" and "Wait And Bleed" are also right up there. Maybe not as brutal as the first two albums, but still a milestone and a masterpiece in their band history!

The Killers - Mr. Brightside

Even though the entire album Hot Fuss is celebrating its 20th anniversary, "Mr. Brightside" is by far the most famous song by The Killers. Congratulations from us! For the right feeling, you should definitely watch the music video again. But of course, their songs "Somebody Told Me" and "All These Things That I’ve Done" are also super popular.

My Chemical Romance - I’m Not Okay

Well, if this isn't the most famous track from My Chemical Romance's second album! With Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, the group really took off for the first time and achieved international success. The album doesn't get boring from the first to the 13th song. "I’m Not Okay" is still considered an anthem for the young generation navigating their way through mental health issues while feeling like outsiders. Despite the theme, the song just rocks and gets you with every chorus anew. It's crazy to believe that they did even greater with The Black Parade afterwards. Three Cheers For Twenty Years!

Green Day - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

American Idiot is the first album that comes to mind when you think of Green Day, right? It actually came out in 2004… That means the title track "American Idiot" and the catchy, melancholic hit "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" are also turning 20. The album is no longer their most recent release - but it's still their most successful one!

Papa Roach - Scars

If you thought only Papa Roach's album Infest was getting up there in years - no, Getting Away with Murder came out just four years later, and so the deep song "Scars" is also on our list. Jacoby Shaddix has processed very personal emotions and thoughts in the lyrics of this song, which have to do with love and concern for loved ones. An absolute classic from the band from California and one that must not be missing from their setlists!

Sum 41 - Pieces

Just in May, the musicians of Sum 41 announced their breakup. In light of the sad news, it's even more intense to look back at their album Chuck from 2004. "Pieces" is the most streamed song on the record and catapults you back to the early 2000s, when All Killer No Filler and Does This Look Infected? were also released. If you're feeling nostalgic, listen to the song again right away!

Breaking Benjamin - So Cold

With their founding in 1998, Breaking Benjamin already have several years of band history behind them and many successes to be proud of. The album We Are Not Alone from 2004 is one of them. "So Cold" immediately delivers a strong opening track and a first taste of the alternative vibes of the record. Haven't listened in a while? Definitely catch up!

Underoath - A Boy Brushed Red Living In Black And White

They’re Only Chasing Safety is also not spared by time! The album is simply a treasure in Underoath's discography. One fan favorite after another can be heard on it, with titles like "Reinventing Your Exit" and "It’s Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door". However, "A Boy Brushed Red Living In Black And White" is undisputedly at the top. That's why you should relive it right away!
