The Nordic folk duo Nytt Land has released a cover version of Slipknot's "Wait And Bleed."

Nytt Land, consisting of the married couple Anatoly and Natalya Pakhalenko, released their own version of the nu-metal classic "Wait and Bleed" from Slipknot on August 5th. Accompanying it is a shamanic music video that you definitely need to check out.

Nytt Land says about their cover:

"With great respect for the immortal Slipknot legacy, we have created this cover version of their famous song 'Wait And Bleed' in our own sound with traditional Siberian throat singing and musical instruments."


The Original "Wait And Bleed" – A Nu-Metal Classic

The original song "Wait And Bleed" was first released in July 1999 as a lead single from Slipknot's self-titled debut album and was an immediate hit. The album Slipknot made the band famous worldwide and remains a classic of the nu-metal genre. 

"Wait And Bleed" reached number 34 on the US Mainstream Rock Charts and number 1 on the UK Rock Charts. Since then, "Wait And Bleed"  has become one of Slipknot's most popular songs. According to setlist.fm, it has been played live 1,059 times since its release. Only the song "Surfacing" has been performed live more often, with 1,113 performances.
