The Mayhem Festival has once again evolved with a new vision - and a brand-new name: Miss Mayhem. Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen revealed the change in an interview with Rock Feed. As the name suggests, Miss Mayhem 2025 will showcase an all female-fronted lineup, marking another milestone for the visibility of women in the metal community!
No lineup has been announced yet, but Avildsen is confident that details will be confirmed soon.
“I can share that it’s called ‘Miss Mayhem‘, and it’s all-female."
“But hopefully by the time this comes out… We will either have a tour and all the acts will be done, because it’s all set up to be an all female-fronted bill. And we have, you know, seven of the eight acts, but this eighth act is higher up at the bill. We need to make sure that it lands so it’s a co-headline and all this stuff."

About the Mayhem Festival: A New Beginning
The Mayhem Festival has seen many changes over the years. Originally, it was an annual touring festival across the U.S. and Canada, last held in 2015. A revival was planned for 2020 but was ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Instead, Ash Avildsen brought the festival back in 2024 as a single-day event, featuring a strong and modern lineup - including Bad Omens as headliners alongside Parkway Drive, Architects, and many more. Even last year, the festival already included several female artists, such as Jinjer, Poppy, and Kittie. Now, with Miss Mayhem, fans can expect even more women to take the stage this year!
