On our Instagram channel @impericonde, we asked for your opinion: Who was the best band of 2024? You responded enthusiastically, allowing us to create a beautiful musical recap of the year with all the bands you mentioned. So, here are the best bands of the year according to the community!
Sleep Token
Your love for Sleep Token was impossible to miss in the comments! While the band didn’t release anything new this year, Take Me Back to Eden is far from getting old. Plus, the European Rituals tour brought fresh live energy from Vessel & Co. We’re already excited to see what next year will bring - there are already some hints about new music!
Landmvrks
Landmvrks definitely captured your hearts this year. Luckily, their new album The Darkest Place I’ve Ever Been is already announced for 2025, and they just dropped the single Sulfur. Could this already be one of your favorites for the best albums of 2025? We were thrilled to welcome them to the Impericon Festivals 2024 and even had the chance to do an interview with the band!
Linkin Park
No surprise here - Linkin Park was a hot topic this year! This answer was definitely expected. With their comeback album From Zero, the League of Legends Worlds song "Heavy Is The Crown", and an epic series of concerts, Mike Shinoda, new singer Emily Armstrong, and the entire Linkin Park crew delivered a truly emotional and epic return. And it’s not over yet - a concert film is coming in 2025, bringing it all to the big screen!
Imminence
The comments speak for themselves: Imminence impressed you this year. Their brilliant new album The Black and the accompanying tour were definite highlights. Understandably, fans are already looking forward to The Black Finale, which will feature live performances with a string quartet in select European cities!
Bring Me The Horizon
With their new album POST HUMAN: NeX GEn, Bring Me The Horizon dropped their next masterpiece in 2024. For many of you, it was clear that the band and their songs were a constant companion throughout the year. Whether or not the band takes the break Oli Sykes mentioned next year, we can still expect plenty more POST HUMAN content in the future. Until then, you can still catch them live at a few festivals!
Of course, these aren’t all the bands you mentioned. Your favorites this year also included Bury Tomorrow, Ice Nine Kills, Bad Omens, Future Palace, Architects, While She Sleeps, Electric Callboy, The Ghost Inside, Motionless In White, Paleface Swiss, and many, many more!
