After the popular horror game series "Five Nights at Freddy's" was first released in cinemas in 2023, a sequel has finally been confirmed! Find out more here.
Five Nights at Freddy’s was already extremely successful as a game series. The Survival Horror Games now have a huge fandom, there are numerous Let's Play videos on YouTube and the titles have already been played out and down on Twitch. But last year, the hype was given another big boost when the first film adaptation was released on the big screen. And it was really successful, despite some changes to the content of the story, which fans of the games will have noticed. Now a second part is already in the works: this has been officially confirmed!
When Is Part 2 Coming?
Blumhouse Productions and Universal are currently working on the sequel, which is expected to be released in autumn 2025. The announcement was made at CinemaCon 2024. No wonder, as the first part grossed more than 297 million US dollars - and the games offer a lot more content that can be made into a film in the future. In any case, Blumhouse have released their most successful film to date with FNAF, so a sequel is no surprise.
The characters Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, created by developer Scott Cawthon, could end up back in the cinema programme next year. However, it is still unclear when we can expect to see the first trailer. Matthew Lillard may be back; he played Steve Raglan in the 2023 film.
