Deftones have been in the studio for a while, diligently working on their upcoming studio album. It will be the tenth album in their discography, so it’s a real cause for celebration. In an interview given at the Coachella Festival in California, it was made clear that the record would soon be finished. Recently, there was another update on social media. Apparently, we really won’t have to wait much longer!
The Instagram post was uploaded by David “Beno” Benviste, the CEO of Velvet Hammer - the new update comes directly from Deftones management. The photo also features singer Chino Moreno and producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Korn, Evanescence, and more), who has been involved in previous Deftones albums. Diamond Eyes from 2010 and Koi No Yokan from 2012 were produced by Raskulinecz. A release date and further details are still not known. We can continue to look forward to and be excited about more news!
