The spectacular Black Sabbath ballet show is coming to Europe! In addition to performances in the Netherlands and Luxembourg, there will be two shows in Germany this summer.
Black Sabbath is a rock legend, so it was only a matter of time before we could marvel at a dramatic stage show in their honor. This time, however, not in the form of a biographical film or a musical, but as a ballet!
The Birmingham Royal Ballet has combined rock 'n' roll with elegance to create a show that fans could hardly have imagined in their dreams. Naturally, the music of Black Sabbath has been integrated, and ballet star Carlos Acosta is personally involved. The ballet premiered in 2023, and Tony Iommi, guitarist of Black Sabbath, commented as follows:
"I never imagined combining Black Sabbath with ballet, but it sounds pretty good. Sabbath has always been innovators and never predictable, I look forward to seeing how it all develops!"
The development has been splendid, as the shows in Britain, the homeland of Ozzy Osbourne and co., were a huge success. Thus, the tour is now extending to Europe and the USA.
Performances In Germany
Both performances will take place this summer in Hamburg. Tickets are available on the website of the Staatsoper Hamburg. An opportunity to experience Black Sabbath in a completely different way!
