Frank Turner's career started back in 2001 in the punk/post hardcore band Million Dead. However, even before they disbanded after two studio records, the Brit (born in Bahrain) had started standing on stages on his own. In 2005 he officially began his solo singer/songwriter project that still had some punk rock influences but was mostly folk rock. After his debut album SLEEP IS FOR THE WEEK (2007) he played shows with the likes of Biffy Clyro and The Gaslight Anthem and even performed at the opening ceremony of 2012's Olympic games in London! His most successful release TAPE DECK HEART (2013) reached #2 in the UK charts. Even though he's still labeled as being part of a solo project and it's HIS name on Frank Turner merch, when playing shows Frank's accompanied by his band The Sleeping Souls.
