With the new festival season almost upon us, we've put together the ultimate festival packing list so you don't have to spend too much time figuring out what essentials you can't afford to forget.
All About Camping
What's the first thing you should do when you arrive at the festival? Right: Set up your sleeping area for the next few days. To make your camping experience as comfortable as possible, make sure you don't forget the following items:
- Tent, sleeping pad, and sleeping bag (pretty self-explanatory, right?)
- Air mattress and pillow if you want to upgrade your camping experience Flashlight
- Camping stove, plates, and utensils Hammer (for securing your tent pegs into the ground)
- Camping chair
- Pavilion to protect against the sun (team up with your friends; you shouldn't need more than one pavilion for a small group)
- Trash bags (leaving trash at the festival site is not cool!)
- Padlock for your tent
- Duct tape Power bank & charging cables
- And very important: your festival ticket
Essentials for Basic Supplies
Besides all the party fun expected at the festivals, don't forget to eat and drink adequately.
- plenty of water (very important!)
- food that can be stored unrefrigerated (canned food and bread are especially suitable)
- camping stove, plates, and utensils,
- pot can opener grill with charcoal & tongs (if grilling is allowed)
- kitchen roll
- washing sponge and dish soap l
- astly: alcoholic beverages of your choice (remember, almost all festivals ban glass bottles!)
Hygiene is also important; occasionally, you should hit the showers. Don't forget to pack:
- Toothbrush & toothpaste
- Deodorant Shower gel & shampoo
- Sunscreen Towel (better pack two)
- Toilet paper Makeup Wet wipes (you'll thank us!)
- Brush/Comb
- Contraceptives Tampons, pads, etc.
- Insect repellent F
- irst aid kit with band-aids, wound disinfectant, etc.
Dressed to Impress at the Concert Grounds
The highlight of every festival is, of course, the performances of your favorite musicians on the concert grounds! Be sure to pack the following clothes and accessories for a spectacular appearance:
- Your favorite festival outfits, consisting of merch from your favorite bands or stylish fashion pieces
- Sturdy footwear (makes dancing & moshing much easier)
- Waist bag (the most practical for keeping the essentials close during concerts)
- Hat or cap to protect from the sun
- Sunglasses
- Plenty of cash
You should also be well-equipped for evenings at the campsite. Make sure you pack the following items:
- Thick sweaters and/or jackets (it can get chilly in the evenings and at night, even in summer)
- Plenty of fresh underwear & socks
- Swimwear, if there's a chance to swim at your festival
- Lightweight shoes
- Pajamas
- Rain poncho/jacket
Finalize Your Festival Essentials & Complete the Packing List
If you have all the items mentioned above, not much can go wrong. At most festivals, you'll also have the opportunity to buy food or hygiene products if you forget anything. However, we recommend packing thoroughly beforehand, as prices at festivals are usually higher.
