The new album "Godlike" has just been released and so has the band's statement: CJ is no longer part of Thy Art Is Murder. You can find all further info here.

On September 22, Thy Art Is Murder's new album Godlike was released. However, there was a big surprise right away: On the digital version you won't hear CJ McMahon, but another singer, whose name is not yet known. So the band has recorded the complete album once again with the new singer, because on the physical version you can still hear CJ. Whether the record will be re-released is still unknown, but quite likely.

The Official Statement From The Band

On social media, Thy Art Is Murder have shared a message with their followers. In it, they refer, among other things, to CJ McMahon's controversial statement on social media, which has turned many users against the singer.

CJ Shares His Statement On Social Media

Despite everything, CJ posted a picture of the new album on Instagram and revealed one of his favorite tracks to us: "Lesson In Pain". He also shared two other new videos in which he provides a thorough explanation for his controversial statement on social media and apologizes, both to his fans and to the LGBTQ+ community.

According to the video, CJ is aware that his choice of words in his post was wrong. He repeatedly expresses that he wants to protect children at all costs, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. According to the statement, his comment was not aimed the LGBTQ community, but rather stemmed from anger that children at such a young age are already being exposed to topics that he believes they shouldn't be exposed to until they reach a certain age.

Further, the singer posted a message in his story, saying that he will be taking a break from social media for a while in order to take time for his mental health and his family.
