When and Where is Summer Breeze 2024?

The festival will take place from August 14 to August 18, 2024, in Dinkelsbühl. There is also an option to arrive early on Tuesday. However, you will need an early arrival slot, which you can secure on the Summer Breeze website. All information about Early Arrival Tuesday can be found on the official website.

Event Address:

Flugplatzstraße 1
91550 Dinkelsbühl

Where to Buy Tickets?

Black and Green Camping tickets for the entire festival duration have been sold out for some time, but day tickets are still available in sufficient quantities. So if you decide to take a day trip to Dinkelsbühl, you can order your day ticket on the official website www.summer-breeze.de or in the official festival app.

Arrival / Travel

By car:

The route to the festival is well signposted from the Dinkelsbühl motorway exit. Your navigation system might lead you differently than the signs: trust the signs in this case!

  • Opening of the access lanes to the camping area on Tuesday (Early Arrival Day): 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Please note the specifics of the early arrival day, which can be found on the Summer Breeze website.
  • Opening of the access lanes to the camping area on Wednesday: 7:00 AM continuously until Sunday.

For those who do not wish to park on the camping site, there are day parking lots. These are located opposite the entrance to the campsite, are well signposted, and open daily from 9 AM (from Tuesday). Departure is possible at any time. The day parking lot is not cleared, so you can stay there overnight without any issues. However, setting up camping equipment here is not allowed. Of course, you can park your car here if you are camping and want to ensure you can leave with your car at any time. A Weekend Car Pass is required for this, costing €20 and available on the festival ticket page or on site.

For Day Ticket Holders:

  • One-day parking tickets for the day parking lot are not available in advance, but only on site and cost €10.
  • The parking lots are open daily from 12:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Public Transport:

All special journeys directly to the festival site are listed on bahn.de. Our tip: travel via Ellwangen.

Important information for searching connections on bahn.de:

  • Arrival: enter “SUMMER BREEZE Festival site” as the destination
  • Departure: enter “Dinkelsbühl Schießwasen” as the start

If you take regular buses, you can transfer to the shuttle bus to the festival site in Dinkelsbühl. We recommend the following cities as starting points to Dinkelsbühl: Ellwangen, Ansbach, Crailsheim, Dombühl.

Entry:

Remember, you can only enter the site with a festival wristband. You can get the wristband at the access lanes during check-in. Of course, there are also security checks upon entry. Bags are allowed as long as they are smaller than A4 size.

The Line-Up:

This year's complete line-up includes over 125 bands and promises a hefty dose of heavy metal. The festival will traditionally open on Wednesday with the band Blasmusik Illenschwangen, but on Tuesday evening, Dark Tranquillity will host a fan Q&A on the Campsite Circus Stage. On Wednesday evening, you'll get a full dose of extreme metal with Meshuggah. Thursday brings Metalcore from Architects, followed by the melodic death metal powerhouse Dark Tranquillity. On Friday, the Vikings will invade with the Nordic death metal band Amon Amarth. Saturday will see Heaven Shall Burn giving us the final blow.

Also performing are the medieval rock band Feuerschwanz, the black metal phenomenon Behemoth, the gothic rock band Subway To Sally, and the Finnish folk metal band Korpiklaani.

From metalcore to death metal to black metal, there's something for everyone. The full line-up and running order can be found on the website or in the app.

The Festival App:

There is an official app called Summer Breeze 2024, which you can install on iOS and Android devices. Here you will find the latest info about the festival, including the running order. You can also buy festival tickets and pre-order merchandise in the app.

Food & Shopping Options:

You can bring food to the campsite without any restrictions or quantity limits. Note: There is a total ban on glass on the entire campsite and concert area! Please transfer your food to appropriate containers!

On Site:

  • Stalls can be found throughout the site. Brought drinks (for personal use) are allowed on the campsite. On the concert site, each person may bring a PET bottle (transparent) up to 0.5 liters and the SUMMER BREEZE 0.4-liter cups.

Vegan/Vegetarian:

  • There is a wide selection of vegetarian and/or vegan food available on the festival and camping grounds. There are several vegetarian/vegan stalls worth eating at near the main stages and on the T-Square. The large supermarket at the barn on the campsite offers vegan products like soy milk, vegan cold cuts, etc. There is also fresh fruit available.

Gluten-Free:

  • At the food stalls, you often have the option to order meals “without bread” to avoid gluten. You can eat gluten-free at the Dollen Knolle and the Dutch Fries stands.

If you prefer to visit a supermarket for camping, you can also check out the Summer Breeze's own supermarket or take the shuttle bus into Dinkelsbühl. The Summer Breeze own supermarket can be seen on the site map and is located next to the Ficken Party Stage on the campsite.
