Image: My Chemical Romance [Instagram]
With My Chemical Romance, you never know when the next surprise will come. A new post has appeared on the band’s Instagram page, immediately sparking wild speculation. The short caption of the image reads:
“If you could be anything, what would you be?”
Alongside are the letters KCR, seemingly inspired by the classic abbreviation MCR. But what does the “K” stand for? Surrounding it is the New York City skyline with a flurry of paper in the air. This led fans to speculate that the post could be hinting at The Paper Kingdom, the never-released concept album. This project was started after their album Danger Days but was never completed, and was rumored to explore very dark themes and music.
Of course, it could also be a teaser for entirely new music, perhaps a new single, or even a tour. It means we’ll have to wait for another post to give us a bit more information!
Update: My Chemical Romance Announce Arena Tour For North America!
The mystery has been solved with a video clip announcing the next tour leg for My Chemical Romance in 2025. The band will be traveling across the USA, and they shared on Instagram:
"It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about "THE CONCRETE AGE”; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG. His Grand Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine foods, and musical entertainments by welcoming you to these great demonstrations of power and resolve. And lending voice and song for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty six days, their work privilege ceremoniously reinstated, will be His Grand Immortal Dictator's National Band... The Black Parade.
Long Live Draag"
